Role Overview

The Editor-in-Chief provides the overall academic leadership of the Journal and is responsible for maintaining editorial quality, publication ethics, and strategic development. Working closely with the Editorial Board and the Editorial Office, the Editor-in-Chief ensures that every published article meets the Journal's standards of originality, methodological rigor, and scholarly contribution.

Responsibilities

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for:

Defining the Journal's editorial vision and strategic direction
Making final editorial decisions on all submitted manuscripts
Ensuring an independent, fair, and transparent peer review process
Appointing members of the Editorial Board and reviewers
Upholding publication ethics in accordance with COPE Principles
Promoting the international visibility and academic reputation of JSM
Developing collaborations with scholars, institutions, and professional associations worldwide
