Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
Overview
Every article published in the Journal of State Management is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
A DOI provides a permanent, persistent, and globally recognized identifier that enables reliable citation and long-term access to scholarly publications.
Unlike URLs, DOIs remain stable even if the location of an
article changes.
Benefits of DOI
The DOI system:
Provides permanent article identification
Facilitates accurate citation
Supports metadata exchange
Improves article discoverability
Enables reliable linking across scholarly databases
Supports citation tracking
Each DOI is registered before publication and remains
permanently associated with the published Version of
Record.
DOI Structure
A typical DOI assigned by JSM follows the format:
https://doi.org/10.59394/xxxx.xxxxx
Journal's DOI prefix
Unique article suffix
10.59394 is the Journal's DOI prefix; the suffix uniquely
identifies the individual article.
DOIs should always be included when citing JSM
articles.
