Overview

JSM recognizes the increasing use of artificial intelligence technologies in scholarly communication.

Authors may use AI-assisted tools solely to improve language, grammar, readability, or formatting.
Rules & Requirements
AI systems cannot be listed as authors
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work
AI-generated text, images, tables, or analytical outputs must be disclosed
AI tools may not fabricate data, references, or research findings
Authors should include a declaration describing any significant use of AI technologies
Editorial Review
The Editorial Office may request additional information regarding AI use during manuscript assessment.
